Enlighten World Flag Slicer

Enlighten World Flag Slicer helps you to display country flags as a slicer based on country name and that allows you to interactively filter your report.

Let’s get started-

Download Sample dataset- Global_superstore_2016.xls

Follow these steps to create a Enlighten World Flag Slicer:





Step-1: Import Orders dataset from Global superstore file.

Step-2: Click on ellipsis icon under Visualization Pane > then click on Get more visuals.

Step-3: After that one dialogue box will appears, enter your Power BI account mail id & password there. If you already Logged In into Power BI desktop file then this window will not come.

Step-4: After logged In, you will see the Power BI visual pop-up window. Now follow these steps-

Under AppSource Tab > Select Category “All” > Search for “Enlighten World Flag Slicer” > Click on Add button.




Step-4: Add visual into Power BI report page and drag country column.

Customize the Enlighten World flag slicer:

Follow the below properties-

General: Allows you to set X axis & Y axis, width & height of chart.

Title: Specified the Title name for Chart.

Data labels: Its enable or disable the country name on flag slicer chart. And you can also change the color and font size for labels.




Items: Allows you to set the orientation of Flags, height, width, margin & shadow.

  1. Hi. I have used this “Enlighten World Flag Slicer” on a Power BI visual. The flags initially sorted to a predefined Country Sort Order that was in the Country table. But once a user had made Country selections, the sort order changed. Is there a way to prevent this?
