Report/ Dashboard Name: Global Super Store Sales & Performance Dashboard.

Dataset: Global Super Store Dataset – 2016

(The Global Super Store dataset is a widely used sample dataset for data analysis and visualization, mostly used in tools like Power BI, Tableau, and other analytics platforms. It represents fictional sales data for a global retail company, covering a range of categories such as orders, products, customers, and shipping details.)

Tables: Orders, People, Returns and Calendar Table

Filters: Market, Region/ country, Category/ Subcategory, Product name, and Year, Month and Day

1.Understand the requirements and data: Analyze the project goals and review the data to ensure it meets reporting needs.

2.Load the data into Power BI: Import the required datasets into Power BI from sources like Excel, SQL, or other platforms.

3.Transform the data: Clean, shape, and modify the data using Power Query to make it suitable for analysis and reporting.

4.Create relationships between tables: Establish relationships between tables using keys to enable data analysis across multiple tables.

5.Set the page size: Adjust the report page layout to fit the desired dimensions for better visual design and user experience.

6.Set the theme colors for the report: Apply consistent colors throughout the report to align with branding or improve readability.

7.Create visuals and DAX formulas for the KPIs: Build charts, tables, and calculations (using DAX) to display key performance indicators (KPIs).

8.Create RLS (Row-Level Security): Define security roles to control data access based on user permissions, limiting what data different users can see.

9.Publish the report to the workspace: Upload the report to Power BI Service, allowing users to access, share, and collaborate on it online.
