In this blog I will show you – “How you can copy Queries from one Power BI report to another?”, In other words how to copy dataset from one Power BI file to another?
Let’s get started-
Follow these steps in order to copy queries from one file to another-
Step-1: Need two files for this example-
File 1 : File-1 is source file, it has 4 datasets.

Power BI file 1
File 2 : It is destination file and don’t have any dataset.

Power BI file 2
Step-2: Now go to File 1 and open Power Query Editor mode.
Under Home tab > Click on Transform data

Transform data
Step-3: After that one power query window appears –
Select queries you want to copy from file 1 > after that Right click and Copy the queries. Using ctrl + click you can select multiple queries.

Step-4: Now go to file 2, and open Power Query Editor.
After that right click on blank area and paste the queries.

Paste Power BI Query
Step-5: See the final result.

Note: Don’t close power query editor window just after copy, after paste into destination file then close the power query editor for both files.
